Our Principles

  1. Laws & Legislations
    Classic will comply with all relevant legislation, statutory and nonstatutory requirements, official guidance and any future amendments to such requirements during the course of providing services to others.
  2. Trust
    1. Classic will act honestly with both clients and candidates
    2. Classic will only advertise positions for which we have been given permission to recruit for.
    3. All fees and charges will be fully disclosed prior to any work being undertaken for a Client.
  3. Working Relationships
    1. Classic will not undertake actions that may unfairly or unlawfully jeopardise a candidate’s employment or interfere in work relationships established by others.
    2. Classic will not attempt unfairly or unlawfully to prevent a candidate from seeking work from other sources.
    3. Classic will treat other parties with respect and aim to work in a fair and open competitive environment.
  4. Diversity
    1. Classic will adhere to all applicable human rights, employment laws and regulations; we will treat clients, candidates and others without prejudice or unjustified discrimination. Classic will not act on an instruction from a client that is discriminatory and will, wherever possible, provide guidance to clients in respect of good diversity practice.
    2. Classic will treat all parties with dignity and respect, and aim to provide equity of employment opportunities based on objective business related criteria.
    3. Classic will establish working practices that safeguard against lawful and unethical discrimination in the operation of our business.
  5. Communication
    1. Classic will endeavour to give appropriate feedback to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
    2. Classic will mediate, negotiate and propagate during the recruitment and probation period.
    3. Classic will in return request that both clients and candidates give relevant feedback to the agency, to allow it to forward onto the other party involved.
    4. Classic requests that we are informed by all parties of any communication relating to the recruitment process prior to engagement.
  6. Professionalism
    1. Classic will work diligently to develop and maintain a satisfactory level of relevant and current professional knowledge.
    2. Classic will ensure that our staff are adequately trained and skilled to undertake their responsibilities and duties in recruitment practice.
  7. Certainty of Engagement
    1. Classic will supply candidates with full details of their position and work, conditions of employment, nature of the work, rates of pay and other requirements in accordance of the current legislation.
    2. Classic will ensure that any variation to the engagement can only occur with prior notification and agreement of the worker.
  8. Safety
    1. Classic will act diligently in assessing risks to candidates and clients, and will not knowingly put candidates or clients at risk.
    2. Classic will inform candidates whenever they have a reason to believe an engagement may cause risk to their health and safety.
  9. Ethical International Recruitment
    1. Classic will supply all overseas candidates with the same level of information as set out in Principle 7. In addition, information provided will include details of the likely cost of living in the area that the hirer is situated, the likely length of the job and all other information in the field they are being recruited for.
    2. Classic will ensure that in relation to overseas recruitment they abide by all relevant legislation and Home Office guidelines, and provide all necessary information to clients and candidates.
    3. Classic will never use overseas agents that charge for their services, unless it is sanctioned by the government of the country of origin.
    4. Classic will observe the highest principles of responsibility, integrity, professionalism, equity and fair practice when dealing with overseas candidates.
  10. Confidentiality
    1. Classic will observe the highest principles of integrity, professionalism, equity and fair practice to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of candidate and client information, and will respect the confi dentiality of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and good business practice.
    2. Classic will ensure that permission has been obtained and documented before disclosing, displaying, submitting or seeking confi dential or personal information.
